Hi. My name is Kaitlin Thoresen. I am going to be studying abroad in Japan in the fall and could not be more excited! I will be studying at the Japan Center for Michigan Universities in Hikone.

A little background on me. I am a photojournalism and anthropology student at CMU. I grew up in the suburbs outside Chicago. Photography is my passion and you will rarely find me with out my camera. Be prepared for lots of photos on this blog.

I've wanted to study abroad before I even began looking at colleges and hope that I will travel all over the world in my lifetime.  I leave for Japan September 2nd and will be there until December 15th. The program I'm in is language intensive.
